Web Service User Roles

Hi Experts,

Please help me in this.

In power BI Webservice, i am an admin of a workspace.

I need to add members, who can create their reports based on my published dataset but i don't want them to alter my dataset and reports though.

Please suggest if there is any way to acheive this.

Thanks and Regards..

Hi @Divya904

As a admin of an AppWorkspace, you can make the members of this workspace only view the content. But, in this way, members can't create a report based on your dataset.

An alternative way is using a organizational content pack.

After making the members of this workspace only view the content, you can create a content pack using the dataset and report from this workspace and publish to these members or the group.

Thus, memebrs can get an organization content pack from Get Data->my organizational content packs,

After getting the content pack, they can't edit it, thay need click on the three dots of the dataset and select "make a copy", so that they can customise their report based on the dataset.
