Each month I run a Hospital Discharge Follow-Up Call report. We report Data each month, 1 month prior, and 2 month prior. This month I noticed a change in the data for previous months Mar/Apr. Is this to be expected? If so, how can I explain the variation to leadership. Please advise.

It sounds like the the system where the source data is coming from, has changed the historical information. This is common for example if a transaction status is updated (eg from Open to Closed) and overwritten.
When you refresh a report (if you are using import mode and connect straight to the source system), it will reload all available data from A to Z again. If historical data is updated, you will only get the current information. Ie you lose historical snapshot.
