Hello Folks,
I'm looking for an option to use the Power BI gateway Enterprise gateway for a Excel-file (refresh via schedule in PB service), beside the regular working SQL connection via the gateway. (2 datasources, one for SQL and one as a flat file)
Question: -where to locate the file on the gateway server?
- how to configure a file mapping table in de PB gateway software?
Any ideas?
Kind regards, Marco

@mvananaken You can't combine both sources into the same dataset and use the On Premises Data Gateway. You can use the Personal Gateway to achieve this.
If you want to use these as seperate datasources. The Excel file can be anywhere in your domain, it doesn't need to be on the same machine that you installed the gateway on.
The personal gateway doesn't require any configuration.
The On Premises Data Gateway - you need to add the data source in the Service.
Settings -> Manage Gateways -> Add Data Source
