Using Power BI add-in in PowerPoint throws add-in Error

I made a Power BI report using a SharePoint List as the data source. The report has a few pages and I wanted the pages to rotate automatically every 30 seconds, so I made a PowerPoint presentation and used the Power BI add-in to embed live data. The presentation was working just fine, but I've encountered a few issues; now, when I open the presentation in Office 365, it doesn't work. It just shows the first page and, instead of rotating to the second one, it's just blank. After a few seconds the blank page is replaced by the add-in icon and the error "Something went wrong and we couldn't start the add-in".

I'm making the PowerPoint presentation to display the report on a Smart TV via browser. I'm not sure I will be able to do that; I may have to use a computer or something to display the report on TV, but I can't test anything if the report is not showing properly on PowerPoint.

Has anybody else encountered this issue before? Any ideas on how to solve it? Note that I have a Pro license and no admin permissions.
