Hi,
Is it possible to extract metadata information about which sql tables and fields, that are used in published Power BI datasets using the Power BI REST API? I have only found out to get information about the datasources and databases using the GetDatasourcesAsAdmin.

Please define what you mean by "used".
Anyway, have a look at how to run DMVs against your datasets.
select * from $SYSTEM.TMSCHEMA_PARTITIONS
select * from $SYSTEM.TMSCHEMA_EXPRESSIONS
Also note that the new Scanner API can do the same on a tenant level.
Hi,
So we have a bunch of datasets (pbix files) that are published to the Power BI service. We would like to monitor which databases, tables and fields/columns that each dataset connects to on our SQL server.

oh did only check out the DMVs, but the scanner API looks really promising. Thank you very much!
