Hello. Does anyone know how to get the data from the usage data from PBI service? I go to the Fabric admin reports, and when I click to export to Excel, the data doesn't export. I rather not go the REST API option. Any information would be much appreciated. Thank you!

Hi @lnewell ,
You stated that you do not want to go to the Rest API. So, there are several locations for logs though within your tenant and within the workspaces themselves.
The tenant level O365 logs can be quite helpful. Here are a couple of links for that:
Customize the reports in Microsoft 365 usage analytics - Microsoft 365 admin | Microsoft Learn
Build Your Own Power BI Audit Log; Usage Metrics Across the Entire Tenant - RADACAD
In Power BI Workspaces, you have the usage metrics report:
Monitor report usage metrics - Power BI | Microsoft Learn
Also, if you have "monitoring" for workspaces turned on, there is a great newer tool that does that as well:
Enable workspace monitoring - Microsoft Fabric | Microsoft Learn

Hi @lnewell ,
I want to confirm weather you are trying to export usage metrics report to Excel
If Yes, please ensure all these prerequisites are met
These conditions must be met if we want to Export to Excel.
Reference for the above points can be found here: Create Excel workbooks with refreshable Power BI data - Power BI | Microsoft Learn
Also another important point to consider is Usage metrics are only available for reports in Workspaces that are on Premium or Pro licenses and not in a personal workspace (My Workspace).
Check out the prerequisites of usage metrics as well:
