Usage Metrics Report - Different results between Old and New Usage reports

These 2 reports are consistently giving me:

1. Different number of users. For a new report I am creating, for which testers usage is critical, I have been having in the Old Usage report only 10 users reading it and in the New view one 14 as of yesterday. This is NOT ideal and NOT acceptable coming from an automated Power BI report.

2. Not only the number of users is different, but also the number of views.

3. The last issue is that the New view has got only IDs of users and NOT names which I am having to look up one by one every time I check the Usage report, and this is particularly unnecessary and annoying when the Old view has got them already available (I am not sure if this is an internal setting in my company, I doubt it, but I might be wrong).

Please Power BI it's important to fix these 3 issues as soon as possible! this is a great and undispensable tool for us creating and developing these reports!!!!

Thanks a lot in advance.

Kind regards,

Nat

Hello,

I noticed the same issue, the Report Usage Metrics Report, generated automatically by PowerBI doesn't provide the same result between the old and new version.

A user informed me he opened and viewed a page, in the new usage report his view doesn't appear but in the old usage report it is ok.

We are using by default the new version... and we are with new workspace.

Thanks in advance for the fix.

Regards,

Cyril

Hi @Anonymous

Not very clear about how you creat the new Metrics Report, so I go to usage metrics report, and save a copy as a new usage report. The result of my test shows there is no difference between the two reports. (Test environment: New workspace)

Besides, which one of your 2 reports do you think is correct? The old one? And you want to have a copy of the old one but there are problems with the copy in the same workspace, right?

If so, could you kindly show the screenshots of your two reports after removing sensitive information?  More details needed so that we can work it out quickly.

By the way, you can refer to this link for the answer to your third question.
