Update dataset using Power Bi Gateway

Apologies if this has already been done to death - but so far i haven't been able to find an answer that resolves this.

I've built a report based on an SQLite3 db generated by some python code - so far so good.  I've set the database to update automatically and now i would like to do the same to my report.  Currently - I have to open the report, hit refresh and then publish up to the PowerBI service.

We have a Power BI gateway setup in our organisation, and my understanding was that i could set the dataset up to refresh via the gateway.  However - this is where I start to run into trouble.  I've followed the instructions i could find, going into the settings of the dataset, and the via Gateway settings trying to set up the data connection, but i can't seem to get working connection.

The db is hosted on the organisations onedrive (sharepoint space) but when i try and add the onedrive path into connection string, I get the following error:

Hi @chipchidster 

Based on your description, you want to add ODBC data source under gateway. 

For reference: Enterprise Gateway with ODBC

Check your DSN name in ODBC administrator or in Power BI Desktop if you have connected to the odbc data source from Power BI desktop.

Then Add data source under gateway by entering connection string (DSN=***), Authentication (Basic) ,account and password.
