I'm trying to use scheduled refresh on power bi, but I don't understand why it seems to work randomly. The datasets come from an API, which works fine with PBI Desktop query.
I was told to try doing scheduled refresh by using power automate, but I don't know how to do that since the PBI connector in Power Automate doesn't give that option.
Does anyone have any tip on how to do that?
Thanks!

Actually I figured out where was the problem.
I just set both PBI Desktop and PBI Service as Anonymous and it works.
Data source credentials on Service was set as below.
I also set a Power Automate Flow to refresh the dataset, which seems to work better than PBI Service's Scheduled Refresh.

hey, different things to have at look:
- check you power bi tenant time zone, that can make the scheculed refresh vs the actual refresh time to differ
- in power automate first make a periodic run: when creating a new flow you can make it runs each X time per minute, days, week etc,
- them llok for a power bi action that literraly its called refresh power bi dataset,
that should do the trick you asking for
