Unable to setup personal gateway for Python script

Hello I have been trying to make a report with a python script that fetches data from a GET request.

I setup PowerBI personal gateway but I am receiving this error when I go to schedule a refresh:

I was reading over the docs and have seen people been able to do this but the option to even connect to the Gateway is not shown in the settings for me.

Does anyone know this fix to this or know an alternative to have data be refreshed by rerunning the Python script?

I have gone through and configured the personal gateway on the machine, and I have checked the troubleshooting document for accepted data sources. 

To my understanding, Python scripts are available for scheduled refresh but when I go to click on the dataset to refresh it does not give me a gateway option anywhere. Do you know if this means the gateway is not setup properly ?

You may implement schedule refresh via Personal Gateway for Python in Power BI Service. The additional steps are the following:

• Install the Personal Gateway - you need a Personal Gateway installed on the machine where the file is located, and where Python is installed, see more:install and configure gateway.

• Enable scheduled refresh for the dataset – Need to enable scheduled refresh for the dataset with Python scripts, see :configure the schedule refresh.
