Unable to refresh the SQL DB on Pwoer BI server and also the autorefresh is not working

Hallo Everyone,

I am facing with a problem when I publish the power BI on Web and try to refresh the DB.

The Gateway is set and the DB is working well on the Power BI Desktop where I can refresh it. The problem is only occurring when I publish eh DB and try to refresh it from the web. It is important since I wasn’t to share it and assign an auto refresh schedule.

Could you please help me there?

Thank you for your answer. Actually the problem has been solved.

but I have used a different method as it was suggested although all of them were helpful.

However, thank you for pointing out that I can creat a support ticket. That is something to use in the future.

Hi , @TatyDo

There are many possible reasons for this error message“The key didn‘t match any rows in the table”.

First please confirmed that you service account running the gateway have read access.

Then make sure  the data source credentials are correct.

You also need to check the table name and table structure in the SQLDB have not been changed.Even the little difference in capitalization may cause similar errors.

Hello @TatyDo

I have faced this same issue a few weeks back.

You can try doing this hope it helps!

  • Update the Gateway.
  • Re-configure the Gateway. (Check the mappings)
  • Do not run many refreshes at the same time because then the load increases on the SQL server.
  • Raise a support ticket which is free if you are a PRO user, they will help you to get the logs and help you to understand the source of error so that we can work on the right direction.

If you like my solution give it a Kudos!

And if it solves your problem accept it as a solution.
