Hello,
I am connecting to the tables in Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse in Power Bi using SQL Analytics Endpoint.
I am able to refresh the data in Power BI Desktop which means the connection is properly set.
I am also the owner of the model in Power BI Service
When I publish the report on the Power BI Service, I went to the semantic model settings of my published Power BI semantic model over there the "Data source credentials" option is greyed out due to which I cannot edit credentials which is required to allow refresh on Power BI service
Due to this I am not able to do manual or schedule refresh.
I am getting the following error on Semantic model settings page:

Hii @Dewang
The Data Source Credentials option is grayed out because your semantic model is still using the default connection created in Desktop, which doesn’t store cloud credentials in the Service.
To fix it, open the model in Power BI Service >> Settings >> Data connections, remove the default connection, and add a new explicit cloud connection to your Lakehouse/SQL endpoint. Once this connection is created, the credentials section becomes active and the refresh error is resolved.
Hi @rohit1991 ,
Thanks, it worked !!
I am able to perform manual and schedule refresh without any issue.
I created a new connection using Workspace Identity
Really appreciate your help!
