If I check my Gateway Cluster Settings, then it says "Online: You are good to go."
However, I keep getting this error on my dashboard...
If I click on see details, I get this:
But as you saw earlier, my gateway is online and good to go, right? Lol... /s
But wait, there's more!
Can someone please advise on how to fix this issue?
@mrexcellent - I think you need to replace the reference to localhost to used the actual "Machine" name that is hosting the data. The localhost reference would not work. Please note that Gateways can be hosted on multiple machines. So when you are contacting the Gateway it will think you are referring it. However, the data is likely to be stored in another machine. Remember the Gateways are normal installed on a separate machine from the SQL Server, for example.
Hi - So I tried changing localhost with my computer name "DESKTOP-XXXXXX\XXX" and it says that "the server was not found or was not accessible". Any thoughts?
The server and database must match exactly between the gateway data source and your report
I can tell from the screenshots that the database names match, but I see localhost configured for the server name on the gateway data source...make sure the server names match up
Hopefully this helps,
Is there a different server name? How can I search for the correct server name because for my SQL Server, I have it set up as "localhost" on the login screen, so I'm assuming this is the correct one.
