Hello,
In a previously published report, I changed a slicer setting from single selection to multi-selection and republished the report. After publishing, the changes did not appear. When I press 'Reset filter,' in Service I can see the changes, but the next time I use the report, it shows the old setting again.
Users are allowed to save their filters. I don’t want to delete and republish the report. Does anyone have an idea on how I can make the report always display with the new settings?
Thanks,

Hi @KCsilla - The most straightforward approach is to guide users to reset their filters manually or temporarily disable the save filters feature while publishing the changes. For future scenarios, consider making such updates early before users personalize the filters extensively.
steps:
1. Reset Saved Filters for Users
To enforce the new slicer settings, you need to clear users’ saved filters. Unfortunately, there isn’t a direct way to reset filters for all users centrally.
Ask users to reset their filters manually:
In Power BI Service, they can click the Reset to default button. This clears their saved filters and applies the default slicer settings from the updated report.
2. Disable the Save Filters Feature Temporarily
Temporarily disable the "Allow users to save their filters" feature:
Go to the Power BI Service workspace.
Open the report settings.
Uncheck Allow users to save filters.
Republish the report.
Once users load the report and see the updated slicer settings, you can re-enable the feature.
3. Publish the Report with a New Name
If resetting filters for all users is not feasible, consider publishing the updated report with a new name. This ensures everyone starts fresh with the default settings.
