Hi All,
I have recently added another SharePoint site data source to my Power BI model.
For some reason, I keep getting the attached error. As you can see, I have two different SharePoint sites, and the configuration / credentials are the same, so not sure why I’m getting this error.
I did some research on the community for this error (“The credentials provided for the SharePoint source are invalid”) and saw some topics with potential solutions, but none of them solved the error.
For example:
so I have tried the following:
In one of the topics, a Microsoft employee advised that this issue has been fixed. But not in this case.
Any kind of assistance here is more than welcome.
Thanks!

So, how can i merge Sharepoint list to another data source (SQL) ? as it seems it fails on this step..
Not sure why it still fails but you can create a Dataflow where you get her all your sources and then create your pbix

I've tried but from Dataflow i can't even connect to the Sharepoint list.
I also tried to copy the m code from the pbix file to the dataflox but get same error: (configure connection button takes me to the sharepoint credentials menu but all i did wasn't solved it)
This is what explains all your issue. If Power Query Online can't connect to your Sharepoint List then that's why your merged tables in the pbix did want to connect.
You need to verify your credentials and why can't you connect with your Sharepoint Admin

So how you explain the fact that I can connect from the pbix file and without the merge everything works fine ? including the service refresh of course..
As I have one username/ password- I don't know what else I can do.
I don't know how you connect in your desktop ! is the sharepoint list in question On Prem? is it really a List? can I see the M code please?

Hi @Anonymous
It doesn't seem like you are connecting the right way
PowerBI and PowerApps are folder's names aren't they ?
The link should look something like this
after Sites/ comes the name of the groupe in Sharepoint. Then in Power Query you can look for your folder and files.

Hi @aj1973
This is how i connected.. my URL and yours are exactly the same.
Actually, I just realized that it matter of privacy level. in the failed query that I listed above, I have a merge step where I join the data from this SharePoint site to a query comes from my SQL source. once I removed it, refresh complete. i just need to understand now how can I configure it correctly, so it will work with this merge step as it mandatory to this query.
That's what is, the merge!
Please take a look at this

Actually i have seen this article, and created a new connection. then I replace the mapping on the dataset settings from 'Personal Cloud Connection' to the new connection I've created (powerapps). but still same error.
How about the Amazon source? is it mapped?

Yes, it mapped on the Gateway section.
Update: I have created a new report.
first added one of my SharePoint sites - publish it > refresh complete
then added the 2nd SharePoint site - publish it > refresh complete
then added my SQL source (gateway required) - publish it > refresh complete
So I don't understand why it fails on one report but succeed on another.
