Take a "soft filter" (i.e. selecting values in an visual) and making it a "hard filter"

Here's the scenario.

Let's say I have a PBIX with several pages, and synced/slicers on every page.

Now suppose I'm on page 1, and I select a date range from a filter (which will be in effect across all pages)

I get a table (or really any visual) by customer.

I do a CLICK and CTRL-CLICK to select 3 customers from that table.....and the other visuals on that page filter for those three customers.

Now, I realize when I go to page 2, the date filter is in effect, but the "slicing" I did back on page 1 (the three customers) is not recongized by the second page  (nor is it retained if I go back to page 1)

I realize we wouldn't want this as default behavior, but can this be done:  when the user did the "soft filter" (my terminology) on the three customers in the table, can I possibly give the user an option to take those 3 customer selections and "jam that" into the filter/slicer on customer that will be recognized across pages?     (I "do" have customer as a synced slicer....just wondering if I can possibly take runtime slicing in a visual and jam that into the regular filter).

Yes, I realize I have the option for drillthrough reports and even report tooltips.  I'm using that....however, there are some "regular" pages in our dashboard where it would be nice to recognize slicing on prior pages.   As it stands, all I can do is tell the user to identity the 3 customers and make the selection from the "hard" filters.

Thanks,

Kevin

Hi @KevinSGoff ,

Can you provide the relevant screenshots to describe, so that I can do further testing to answer your questions.

Looking forward to your reply.

Follow-up....I realize I can right-click on the three selected customers and select "include".....and that will keep those three as the only ones selected if I navigate to another page and then back.

However, it won't be recognized on page 2...unless of course, I select them from the shared slicer dropdown, but again, that's making the user do the same selections twice.
