Subscription PNG file

Was there any changes to subscription output PNG file?

back in March when we have a refresh the subscription email PNG file does not have any "white" space before the PNG file.

It was exactly the same as custom size. but now there's heaps of white space.

I've tried changing the View to 'fit to page, 'width,  'Actual size' but none of them work like it use to.

Hi @Anonymous

Can you include a screenshot of the actual entire email? Because the images below don't look like subscription emails.

THanks

Michele

Hi @Anonymous

I don't see a lot of difference in the two emails.  Just a little extra white space?

  1. First, I'd try allowing images in the emails. I've outlined the tiny placeholder.   I believe you right-click to show the hidden images.
  2. Then I'd try opening both in a browser, see the link that I outlined in the top left corner. When you open in the browser, do you have the same issue with white space?
  3. Could the reason be that one subscription contains only one visual and the second subscription contains 2 visuals?  Can you experiment with a report page with only one visual to compare with the original?

Let me know how this works out  🙂

Michele

Hi,

thanks for you rresponse. my concern not with the Email body but with the PNG file attached.

if you click on my original email you would see the difference between the 2 PNG file.

the prolem with the "white" is not because its White but the Scale the picture therefore the content becomes smaller and unreable even i zoom in it is blur. But when its borderless we can read it clearly.

Hi @Anonymous

I see your point!  It might help if you put a border around the visual (in the report). At least then when you copy and paste, the border will help keep the readers eyes inside the visual.

Please report this as an idea: https://ideas.powerbi.com/forums/265200-power-bi-ideas.  This is a very new feature and I'm sure they'd appreciate the feedback.

Thanks

Michele
