Hello,
would like to ask for ideas how to accomplish the following:
Our organization started to be more interested into details of utilization for various reports, so we can target properly our focus and interact with the most frequent users, see the trends based on the updates, corporate communication, etc.
So I was thinking, what would be the best approach to somehow store data from utilization metric dashboard, as this is only keeping data for past 30 days. My idea was, to create designated datamart, which would be loading and storing incrementally data from usage metrics dataset on daily basis, and then I would create a report which would be used to visualize and analyze those data.
The problem is, I am stuggling with this setup, as I dont know how to connect to that usage metric dataset from datamart, or if this even possible?
Any advice in this matter would help, or let me know how you tackled this problem.
You can use the relative time filter in power bi so then there will not be a need to set up .
You can also set up a data flow that create a dataset that contains only the last 30 day data and then pull the data into the power bi
Thanks @Anonymous for your reply. But maybe I did not express myself correctly - where I am struggling is, to access/create connection to dataset which contains all those usage metrics data...the later part, as you are mentioning I am aware off...any idea how to initially access those data?
