I have two visuals on a page - one bar chart with weekly marks on x-axis and a simple measure.
Below that is a table with the same measure in a sparkline.
Works fine at a glance, but when user clicks on one of the weeks in above chart (a single week) - the ENTIRE table containing the sparklines straight disappears. I would expect this to result in the sparkline to only draw one mark, but the whole table disappears, not just the column, not just the mark.
After much fuss, discovered this behavior works as expected with a LINE sparkline, but causes the disappearing table when using BAR sparkline.
Any notes on a workaround (that does not involve "use a line instead of a bar" - obviously). This appears to be a bug - am I right?
Screenshots of before clicking and after clicking demonstrating the issue below. This should be easy for anyone to reproduce.
Before click - line and bar sparklines below main bar chart.
click a single week on bar chart: entire table with bar sparklines dissappears (all columns, even the title)
hold CTRL - select any TWO weeks on above chart - everything works as expected:
As an aside, ideally, I would like the sparklines to always show most recent X weeks (I set it to 12) no matter what the crossfiltering is doing. I did write a measure to filter [Shipments] measure, but that does not overcome the disappearing table issue - there is an entirely peripheral set of questions around how to make that act the way I want.
