Some tables on my Dataflow won't load data in either desktop or another dataflow

As stated on the topic, I have some strange behaviour on a dataflow. It works correctly, it shows data and returns no errors either on the records or on the refresh history. It has been working for months but as of late some tables on it doesn't show any data when connecting to them from another dataflow or the Power BI desktop app.

This is the diagram view (not complete because the dataflow is big, but what we can't see here doesn't impact or matter).

I've marked in black (the border edge) the tables which won't load data anywhere else (but they do inside de dataflow and no errors on the records).

Also, marked in green (the border edge) the source table (linked from another dataflow) and a table which is the result of a merge between the last black and another one (which we can't see here), them both return data on another dataflows or the Power BI desktop.

I've run out of ideas as how could I solve this.

- I've refreshed over and over with no changes.

- Changed the type of some columns in the first black table and refreshed.

I don't want to delete the flow and reupload it again as it has dependant dataflows and maybe dependant reports which point directly to some table.

Any suggestions on why does this happend and how could I solve this?

Hi @Damian_CT_Nom , thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Fabric Community Forum.

Sorry to know none of the suggestions helped. Please consider below:

  1. Sometimes, clearing the cache in Power BI Desktop can help resolve data loading issues. Go to File -> Options -> Data Load -> click on Clear Cache.
  2. When loading data from a dataflow, there are advanced options available in Power BI Desktop. Make sure you review these options to see if any settings are affecting data retrieval, such as filters.
  3. If none of these work, Please consider reaching out to Microsoft Support. You can provide them with all the troubleshooting steps you've already taken, which will help them understand the issue better and provide a resolution. They might be able to identify something specific about your admin account setup or provide a solution that isn't immediately obvious.

Hi @Damian_CT_Nom , thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Fabric Community Forum.

Please consider below:

  1. Sometimes, clearing and re-authenticating the data source credentials can resolve data loading issues.
  2. Ensure there are no filters or restrictions in the data load settings that might be causing the data not to load.
  3. After creating or updating the dataflow, refresh it on the service to make sure the data is loaded into the entity.
  4. Verify that the permissions for the data source are correctly set and that there are no issues with authentication.
  5. Add a step to remove errors in your dataflow, as sometimes hidden errors can prevent data from loading correctly.
  6. Try disabling and then re-enabling the load for the problematic tables.
  7. Check the refresh history to see if there are any errors or warnings that might give a clue about the issue.

Hello @v-hashadapu, thank you for your answer.

Unfortunately none of this helped. Though I only had to try the first point as the other one already had been tested.

The thing is that only some tables inside the same dataflow won't show data even when no errors are prompted on refreshing and no rows on any table has errors.

Reupdating the authentication and changing the privacy didn't help either...

I don't know what else I could try to fix this. Because it has been working for the longest and it just stopped recently.

Hi @v-hashadapu and thank you for your help.

Sadly this affects other dataflows too, so it isn't a matter of Power BI Desktop. Will try to contact MS support. Thanks.
