I am not sure when this started but I have recently refreshed data and republished a dashboard with small multiples and the charts show blank if you use the mouse scroll wheel after 3 rows.
If you use the scroll bar or select the area area the charts appear. This happens in both power Bi desktop and the published browser version.
Any help and advice much appreciated. Is this a known bug?

Yes, the issue you're experiencing with small multiples rendering blank when using the mouse scroll wheel is known and has been reported by other Power BI users. This behavior typically occurs when navigating beyond a certain number of rows using the scroll wheel, while the scroll bar or direct interaction with the visual area functions correctly.
Possible Causes and Workarounds:
Layout Configuration:
Power BI reserves space for small multiples based on the specified number of rows and columns. If these settings don't align with the actual data, it can lead to unexpected blank spaces.
Solution: Adjust the "Rows" and "Columns" settings in the visual's formatting pane to better fit your data. For instance, setting the number of rows to match the actual number of categories can eliminate unnecessary blank spaces.Reddit
Interaction with Scroll Wheel:
There have been instances where the scroll wheel doesn't function as expected within certain visuals, especially when the visual occupies the entire width or height of the report page.
Solution: Ensure there's some padding or space around the visual. This can sometimes restore expected scroll behavior.
Known Bugs and Updates:
Microsoft periodically releases updates to address such issues. It's possible that this behavior is a bug that has been or will be addressed in future updates.
Solution: Ensure you're using the latest version of Power BI Desktop. Regularly check the Power BI Community for updates or similar reported issues.
Additional Tips:
Use of Shift Key: When dealing with categorical axes in small multiples, holding the Shift key while scrolling can help navigate through the categories more effectively.Microsoft Learn
Feedback to Microsoft: If the issue persists, consider providing feedback directly to Microsoft through the Power BI feedback portal or community forums. Detailed reports can assist in prioritizing fixes in future releases.

Thank you for your reply @johnbasha33 .
It is interesting that when first build this issue didn't exist and all charts rendered as intended. So I guess this bug was introduced by an update since April/May 2024 last year when first built. and only presented when new data was refreshed and the dashboard saved and republished (it's an annual dataset).
One other interesting observation is that the small multiples are part of a wider indicator set and are filtered (Basic Filter) in the visual using a measure code to only show those required for each page. If the filter is removed then all charts render and there is no blank charts after row three at all. This would almost infer the restriction to three rows is introduced by applying the filter on the small multiples visual. Maybe something for the developers to investigate.
I will try adjusting the padding and see if that resolves the issue meantime.
Thanks for the advice 🙏
