Hi all.
I have a drop down slicer to filter company names. The problem is I am asked to have a company name preselected and a year preselected, which helps for loading times. But if the company is deleted, the deleted company if selected will still be selected obviously with no data and this seems to confuse users to pick a new company. So does anyone have any suggestions how to best handle this situation? I guess I could insist that no companies are preselected..
Thanks in advance.

Don't know much about your model, but you could add a place holder value to the company dimension table called "Please pick a company", and add a year column in your dates table to be used in the slicer where the value of the column is "Current Year" for the most recent year in your data. Use these values in your slicers. Hope this makes sense.
