Show last refresh in a report from a Datamart

In our "old" reports we have a section "last refresh":

On our "new" reports based on a dataset from a Datamart this doesn't show up:

Is there a way to active/replicate this?

No there is not, and Datamarts are still in Public Preview, so things can change.  The interesting point is that they have been in Public Preview for over a year now, and there is no current guiodance for it to go General Available.

You could use the REST APIs to look at Activity data, then filter to the data mart and write to a database, file, etc. Then, import that data into the report semantic model.

Is there any other way to let end users know when the last refresh was?
