Show ONLY line until one or more slicer selection in Line and Clustered chart

Hello everyone,

I think my question is fairly easy but I've been unable to solve it.

I have a line and clustered chart with global average as the line value and the column values are for each country. What I want to achieve is that when there is NO country selected in the slicer, only display the global average line but when there is one or more slicer selection, the chart displays line and clustered chart.

I tried this formula below but when there is no selection in the slicer the chart is blank, which is not my goal.

Column_Value = IF (ISFILTERED ('Country'[un state name]),SUM ('Chart'[Value] ),BLANK() )

here is a sample of the data

Thank you in advance for your help.

Hi, @bammyd

You can check the following methods.

Measure:

Column_Value =
IF (SELECTEDVALUE('Table'[un state name])<>BLANK(),SUM('Table'[Value]), BLANK() )

If the slicer is selected.

Is this the result you expect?

Hello v-zhangti,

Thank you for your help but I want to be able to multi-select countries as well.

The measure I had before only shows the line when there are one or more selections in the slicer but I want the line to display when there is no slicer selection.

Below is the measure I had before.

Column_Value = IF (ISFILTERED ('Country'[un state name]),SUM ('Chart'[Value] ),BLANK() )

Looking forward to your reply.

Thank you

Hi @bammyd

Can you provide an example file? And what do you expect the output to look like, you can show it in pictures.

Best Regards
