Set up Data source credential in Premium Workspace to avoid SQL access for each user

Dear all,

I have a premium work space with multiple powerbi report which are set up in "Direct Query" scenario connect to an azure sql table. I want to share this reports with many user and I want to avoid that I have to authorized each user separetely to the Azure Sql to be able to see the data in trhe report.

Can I set up the Data source credential in PowerBI workspace that it works?

Hi

Dataset owner is who published the dataset from Power BI desktop or who take over in service. You use basic authentication (service account or any database user account not individual user account) for the credentials and uncheck the below checkbox. this will ensure you are connected to database credentials and anyone can run the report. Report will always use the provided basic database credentials
