Hi I created a report with a mixture of a web connection (leankit), excel file on my PC and connection to SQL. This report works fine and refreshes on my desktop version but when published and refreshed on the service is fails with the following error:
Data source error: {"error":{"code":"DM_GWPipeline_Gateway_MashupDataAccessError","pbi.error":{"code":"DM_GWPipeline_Gateway_MashupDataAccessError","parameters":{},"details":[{"code":"DM_ErrorDetailNameCode_UnderlyingErrorCode","detail":{"type":1,"value":"-2147467259"}},{"code":"DM_ErrorDetailNameCode_UnderlyingErrorMessage","detail":{"type":1,"value":"Information is needed in order to combine data"}},{"code":"DM_ErrorDetailNameCode_UnderlyingHResult","detail":{"type":1,"value":"-2147467259"}},{"code":"Microsoft.Data.Mashup.MashupSecurityException.DataSources","detail":{"type":1,"value":"[{\"kind\":\"Web\",\"path\":\"https://locationdecisions.leankit.com/xxxx\"},{\"kind\":\"Web\",\"path\":\"https://locationdecisions.leankit.com/xxxx\"},{\"kind\":\"SQL\",\"path\":\"gdansk;developmentlayers\"},{\"kind\":\"SQL\",\"path\":\"gdansk;SafiPublishDb\"},{\"kind\":\"File\",\"path\":\"\\\\\\\\hamburg\\\\workfiles\\\\TEMP\\\\DAZ\\\\SAFi_SA4_priority.xlsx\"}]"}},{"code":"Microsoft.Data.Mashup.MashupSecurityException.Reason","detail":{"type":1,"value":"PrivacySetting"}}],"exceptionCulprit":1}}} Table: site work sub in progress.

I have tried changing all my privacy settings to the same option (tried Organizational and None) but still does not work. Any help would be much appreciated
Hi @d4rren ,
If I understand correctly, the issue is that you failed to refresh report on the service. Please try the following methods and check if they can solve your problem:
1.Go to the semantic model settings, ensure the privacy levels for all data sources are set consistently.
2.Check the refresh history of the semantic model in the Power BI Service to see if there are any additional details about the failure.
3.Verify the credentials for the excel, web source and SQL Server are correctly entered and have the necessary permissions to access the data.
4.You should also turn on the Data connections.
Looking forward to your reply.

thanks for your suggestion v-jiewu-msft
I have checked all datasources have the same privacy level and I turned Data connections on. Still erroring on refresh. The detailed error message is in my first post. I was wondering if it is something to do with my leankit connection, as this is a web connection should it appear in the 'Cloud connections'. I added this in, still no good. As mentioned, this works fine on my desktop.
Hi @d4rren ,
Based on my testing, I can successfully refresh. You can follow the steps below:
1.You can check the leankit connection settings and Privacy level.
2.You can also check the gateway settings.
3.Check the semantic models settings.
4.The result is shown below.
Looking forward to your reply.
Best Regards
thanks again v-jiewu-msft
I applied settings suggested, however I did not have a 'cloud connection' to leanit set up. I created a new cloud connection for leankit (so I had 2 connections, one web through my on premis gateway, and one cloud - both with the same settings) - very confusing. I still cannot get this to work.
Here are my datasource settings:
and my on-premises data gateway settings
any suggestions? I am still getting the same refresh error
1.You can also check the gateway version is up to date.
2.Try to clear the brower's cache.
Best Regards,
Wisdom Wu
Thanks Thomas, all connections and creditials seem okay?
You probably need gateway(s) for connecting to the different data sources. Click the three dot button (elispee) next to the semantic model and go to Settings. See if there is an error in the section "Data source credentials". If yes, then you need to create the Data Source and/or Gateway for accessing the data from the sources.
