Sending Alerts to users in organisation

Hi,

I have a shared workspace in the service

Dashboard pin with alert for value > 100 is set.

I want to send this as email / push notification on mobile app to many users in the organisation.

I could not add alerts to send to other users  except myself.

How to go about it ?

Cheers

Hi, @Anonymous

Only you can see the alerts you set, even if you share your dashboard. Even the dashboard owner can't see alerts you set on your view of their dashboard. Data alerts are fully synchronized across platforms; set and view data alerts in the Power BI mobile apps and in the Power BI service. You can even automate and integrate alerts with Power Automate. You can try it yourself in this Power Automate and Power BI article.

For further information, please refer the officical document .

Best Regards

Allan

Hi. I don't think you can send alerts you create in Power Bi to other users in organization just with Power Bi. You'll need Automate for this. Check the last option when creating an alert. It says "Use Microsoft Power Automate to trigger additional actions". With this you can create a flow when the alert is activated do something. In this case send mails. There are several ways to send mails, some of those are free. At the end should be like this:automate alertmailautomate alertmail

I don't think there is another way.

Hope this help,

Hi @ibarrau ,

Thanks for your reply. I tried.

I do not find a way to add email ids.  Also the user wants push notification on to the Power BI mobile app.

If you have detailed steps with screen shots. That will be of great help.

That is one crazy request. As I mentioned before I don't think you can send a notification with power bi. You can create an Automate flow to send mails or notifications via flow app. If he wants notifications via Power Bi Mobile app then he has to create the alert for himself.

Notifications via app are personal. So you can't configure it for more users. I think the only alternativa is the one I have mentioned (mails or notifications with power automate).

Let me know if that works for you to talk more about that.

Regards,
