Scorecard Metrics not showing automatically the latest value in Trend line

Hi all,

I have an issue with Metrics' Trend lines not showing automatically the latest value even if the connected report is refreshed and published. In order to solve it, I need to enter the single metric and refresh it manually (by clicking on Refresh).

Since I have hundreds of Metrics showing trend lines which need to show the latest value, I just can't go one by one and manually update them as it's too much time consuming.

Is there a way to automate this action for each Metric's trend line?

Thanks a lot for your support!

Hi @Anonymous

Thank you for your reply. However, I'm not sure the provided links are applicable to my case.

I don't need to update the Metrics, which anyway happens every time I update the respective connected Report. I rather need to have the latest value being shown in the respective Trend Line.

Moreover, I noticed that no matter which Time Period I select between "Cycle over cycle" or "Cycle to date", the Trend Line doesn't show the correct value whenever the date doesn't fall on the 31st of each month.

Please see the screens below:

- Value from the connected Report as of 31.03.2024 is correctly 10.8 %, while the respective value shown in Trend Line is incorrectly 11.3 %

- Values from Report & Trend Line as of 30.04.2024 are in both 11.1 %, correctly:

The End-of-May values are again wrong in the Trend Line and correct in the Report, while the End-Of-June ones are again correct as the last day of the month falls on the 30th day.

The selected Time period "interval" is set to "Cycle over cycle", with "Start on" date selected as of the 31st of January.

I also changed the starting date in order to receive the following pop-up message which in teory should solve the isse but it didn't:

If I selected the "Start on" date as of the 30th of January, then the last value displayed in the Trend Line show only the 30th of each month and are incorrect.

Any idea how to solve it?

Thanks!

Hi @mathis92 ,

Based on the description, try to use power automate to update metrics automatically.
