Hi all,
I created a report in Desktop and published to Service. My report data sources are a OneDrive web Excel file and local Excel files.
My OneDrive web file updates hourly, and I would like to create a scheduled refresh in Service to update the report throughout the day. However, my local files are preventing me from creating a scheduled refresh. These files are static, and I do not need data to be loaded from them during the scheduled refresh.
Is there a way for me to exclude local data sources so my scheduled refresh will successfully update Service based on my OneDrive web file only?
Thanks!
Hi, @Anonymous ;
If you want to disable local refresh, just turn it off. For OneDrive, the refresh is about once an hour,According to offical document.
Power BI identified this OneDrive refresh as a Scheduled refresh, but it is not possible to configure the refresh interval. You can only deactivate OneDrive refresh in the dataset's settings. Deactivating refresh is useful if you don't want your datasets and reports in Power BI to pick up any changes from the source files automatically.
The final output is shown below:
