Scheduled refresh not doing anything

Hello,

I am fairly new to PowerBI but needed this to work soon. The data refresh seems to work fine for my PowerBI desktop. However, the scheduled refresh for the PowerBI service online does not do anything even though the refreshes do not throw any error. I have installed the on-premises gateway currently which is online at all times. The data source are added in as well which is my case is an Excel file local to my PC. But the data on the PowerBI service does not show the changes in the data source even after the scheudled refresh. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi @sidjagtap

Did you go to “schedule refresh” setting from the dataset and configure gateway connection?

This article is for your reference to check if you have done the right way.

Best Regards

Maggie

Hi @sidjagtap,

Did you map user of Power BI Service with Windows login? See example here - http://community.powerbi.com/t5/Integrations-with-Files-and/Gateway-connected-but-can-not-access-SSA...

Hi @zoloturu,  No I have not. I tried following the link, however when I go to the data source under my gateway, it does not shoe me a button saying Map usernames like the picture does.
