I have a semantic model with the above message when we attempt to refresh from https://app.powerbi.com/
Data source errorScheduled refresh is disabled because at least one data source is missing credentials. To start the refresh again, go to this dataset's settings page and enter credentials for all data sources. Then reactivate scheduled refresh.

I looked through the community and did see some that were pointing to potentially pointing at configuring a gateway.
I'm looking for a solution to allow manual and scheduled refreshes of this data.

After talking with my CIO we believe the issue is between our source and microsoft. We will need to speak with them on allowing data from their sql server to app.powerbi.com. Untill we talk to them, I cannot update what the solution will be.
Hi @bradjohnson ,

Hi @bradjohnson ,
Just wanted to check if you got a chance to review the suggestions provided and whether that helped you to answer your query?
Thank you for reaching on Microsoft Community Forum.
@bradjohnson Hey,
1) Ensure that you can access the "Data source credentials" section and input the correct credentials. If it's greyed out, this might indicate that the gateway hasn't been properly set up or associated with the data source.Ensure a data gateway is installed and configured correctly on your network.
The gateway allows Power BI service to communicate with your on-premises data sources, such as SQL Server.
2) Go to the Power BI service (https://app.powerbi.com) and navigate to your dataset settings.
3) Assign your dataset to the configured gateway to allow refresh operations. Ensure your SQL data source is configured within the gateway.
4) Check the connection settings within Power BI to ensure they match what you have verified in SSMS (Server Name, Authentication Type, etc.).
Once credentials are set correctly, reactivate scheduled refresh in the dataset settings.
Thanks
Harish KM
If these steps help resolve your issue, your acknowledgment would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @bradjohnson ,
The error you are encountering maybe due to access issue. If a user accessing the data source doesn’t have enough permissions, then you might see the credentials greyed out. Make sure you have the permissions to edit the credentials. Another issue could be that your Gateway is misconfigured.

Thank you.
I went into the Manage Connections and Gateways > Connections > clicked the refresh, but returned Offline. Gateway cluster name is "(Personal mode)". When examining the status, the error message returns:

Status: Offline
Here is some details about why the connection status is "offline". Contact Microsoft support and include the information below in your ticket.
Error code: DMTS_DatasourceHasNoCredentialError
Connection error: Connection has no credentials
Cluster URI: https://api.powerbi.com
Again, our credentials are valid and working without any issues within the Power BI Desktop application.
@Greg_Deckler I wish it was that simple, but as noted that option is greyed out and not able to expand.
We can refresh the data on Power BI Desktop without any error messages so we know the credentials are not missing nor incorrect.
@bradjohnson You need to check in the Power BI service. Open the Settings for the semantic model and check under Data source credentials:
