Scheduled refresh fails but works manually on Power BI Desktop

My scheduled refresh fails with the following error. However, there are no issues while doing it manually using Power BI Desktop. Any reason why this is the case? I have a PRO license.

Data source error: [ValidateMarkupTags][ccon]Expression.Error: The column '[ccon]<Column Name>[/ccon]' of the table wasn't found.. [ccon]<Column Name>[/ccon]. [/ccon]. The exception was raised by the IDbCommand interface. Table: <Table Name>.

Hi @vin90 ,

Based on the error message you provided, there appears to be a discrepancy between the data model and the data source on the Power BI service.

Ensure that the column "[ccon]<column name>[/ccon]" exists in the data source and has the same name as in the Service.
I would suggest that you republish the dataset and update the dataset credentials and then retry to configure the schedule refresh.

Hi @Anonymous.

There appears to be no problems with the datasource as the Power BI desktop refresh runs without errors. I have deleted and republished the dataset twice before. Error still persists.

Can you please confirm whether :

1) The Online service version and the desktop version are the same?

2) Also are you accessing the same source with online and desktop service?

The Power BI Desktop shows:

Version: 2.123.742.0 64-bit (November 2023)

The Power BI online shows:

Service version:13.0.22007.81

Yes it is the same file published online and hence accessing the same data sources.
