Hi all.
I have published a report from power bi desktop to power bi service, using direct query.
I set the scheduled cache refresh to every 15 minutes.
I think the scheduled refresh works when I check the refresh history.
I think my report will refresh automatically. However, my report doesn't refresh until I press the refresh button.
Why does my report not refresh automatically every 15 minutes?
Is there any way to make the refresh active without pressing refresh button?
Thanks a lot.

Hi @nphdiem95,
I found in this link of microsoft https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/documentation/powerbi-refresh-data/#live-connections-and-directq....
It says "If there is no user interaction in a visualization, data is refreshed automatically approximately every hour. You can change that refresh frequency using the Scheduled cache refresh option, and set the refresh frequency."
The refresh mentioned above is for the dataset, not the visuals on the report.
Visuals on report page on Power BI service cannot be refreshed automatically. However, tiles on the dashboard can. So you can firstly pin the visuals from your report to a dashboard, and navigate to the dashboard on Power BI service. Then all the tiles will be refreshed automatically about every 15 minutes. For more details, you can refer to Tile Refresh.
Besides, I use pro trial. In terms of refresh performance, I wonder if there is any difference between free and pro service.
If pro trial expires and I have to use free service, can I schedule cache refresh automatically?
I don't there will be any difference in terms of the refresh in this scenario, as the Free users now have capabilities equivalent to Power BI Pro, except Peer-to-peer dashboard sharing, group workspaces (now called app workspaces), and analyze in Excel with Power BI apps.
Regards
@nphdiem95 I've found there is a delay in the cached data. There seems to be two different things at play based on my experiance. 1st, the actual data set is refreshed, but the actual page render still shows the old dataset that was cached. This is especially apparent if you are validating things immediately. Given a short period of time this seems to cycle out to the new cache. The other way it refreshes if you start interacting with the report, but for just static looks it will take a little bit.
@Seth_C_Bauer Thank you for your reply. I found in this link of microsoft https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/documentation/powerbi-refresh-data/#live-connections-and-directq....

My report doesn't refresh despite waiting 15, 30 minutes or 1 hours. I need it up-to-date every hour at least.
Besides, I use pro trial. In terms of refresh performance, I wonder if there is any difference between free and pro service.
If pro trial expires and I have to use free service, can I schedule cache refresh automatically?
Thanks.
