Hello, I'm new here so apologise is this is in the wrong place
I get the following error when refreshing reports connected to a SQL Database:
"Microsoft SQL: A connection was successfully established with the server, but then an error occurred during the login process. (provider: SSL Provider, error: 0 - The received certificate has expired.)"
The certificate has not expired and this error only appears on PowerBI Service, refreshing on the App works completely fine. Previously refreshing on Service has worked, it is only since last week that the error appears.
I have tried the following steps all of which havent produced a fix in the error
Any help will be appreciated
Solved! Go to Solution.
The correct way is to renew the certificate on the SQL server and then restart the SQL Server service (no need to restart the entire machine)
The lazy way is to install the latest gateway and then disable the certificate check.

The second way you mentioned sounds promosing. Can you list the ways (or send a link) to accomplish disabling certificate check please 😊
Life saver. This worked a charm thank you so much ❤️
