SPO refresh errors started yesterday? <pii>OData__ExtendedDescription</pii>

I started getting this error on different reports that connect to different SPO document libraries.

This started happening yesterady, everything was fine prior to that and we didn't change anything in SPO or PBI on our end.

Has anyone else run into this?

We updated the data gateway and then deleted all the saved credentials in the files.

Re-entered them and set all the privacy levels to ORGANIZATIONALY and redeployed, that helped with most of it.

Hi

We are experiencing the same issue that started on 15/04/22. No changes made to the dataset. Seems to work fine in Power BI desktop, but not once its published to the workspace.

Hi @jjdev ,

Please refer to the topic to see if it helps you.

The '<pii>ColumnName</pii>' column does not exist in the rowset.

Possible solutions:

1) Personaly would unpivot "other columns" and rebuild data model around that.

2) You could rename columns by position to Month -5, Month -4 etc (don't know how many you have!)

3) You could update model using tabular editor connexted to xlma end point. It has scripting ability.

3) There's some stuff on programmatically updating a model via xlma end point in C# https://www.sqlservercentral.com/blogs/power-bi-meets-programmability-tom-xmla-and-c

Hi @OneWithQuestion ,

Can you refresh the pbix file on the Power BI Desktop?

Note:-  Clear the cache from the Power BI Desktop >> File >> Options & Settings >> Options >>Data Cache, Q &A Cache (Clear Cache)

Open the PBIX file in Power BI Desktop.

Home >> Edit Queries >> Edit Queries >> Refresh Preview >> Refresh All >> Close and Apply

Home > Refresh >>Check for the data in all the visuals to all the pages in the report level.

File >> Save As >> with different name and publish.

Try to check with "Refresh Now/Schedule Refresh". (If it is required, try to configure the data source to the gateway).

If you get any error, please share the error information from the "Refresh History" by clicking on "Show Details".

Best Regards
