Hi,
I'm trying to set up a PowerBI Gateway on my SAP BW server. I've installed the Gateway, installed the .NET 3.0 connector, and connected to the Gateway with my PowerBI(dot)com account via 'Manage Gateways'. When I go to 'Settings' I do not see the gateway under 'Datasets' instead I see another gateway that I've installed for another project (which works fine). When I look under 'Gateway connection' for my other project I see the new Gateway with the message 'Not Configured Correctly'. Why does PowerBI assume that this new gateway is part of that dataset? The new gateway needs its own refresh schedule and to be its own dataset. How do I set the Gateway to show up as it's own dataset?
Any help would be very appreciated.

HI @RobertD ,
According to your error message, it seems like power bi sap connector use tokens to invoke SAP BW API and the token expired so SAP BW datasource prevents the HTTP requests with an expired token.
I'd like to suggest you contact to power bi or SAP support to report this to fix this issue. (I guess this issue only appears on specify connector version, it may be fixed if you change the connector version)
submit a support ticket
Use the SAP BW Connector in Power BI Desktop#Installation of version 1 of the SAP BW Connector

HI @RobertD ,
What type of getaway are you installed? Have you successfully sign in your account and check your firewall/network policy to confirm it can send/receive request from power bi service? (you can use fiddler to trace httprequests)
How to Get Your Question Answered Quickly
If above steps are configured correctly, I'd like to suggest you enter to 'mange gateway' and navigate to new added gateway.
Then you can check the gateway datasource list to confirm if you have configured correspond datasource under the new gateway. (e.g. add datasource and config same datasoruce credentials as your pbix file)

Hi @Anonymous,
Thank you for your reply. I have installed the On-Premises Data Gateway. I have installed the gateway local to the data server for SAP BW. I have another On-Premises Data Gateway in the same environment getting data from a SQL Server. I've also tested the .NET 3.0 connector on the same server using PowerBI desktop and I can see my BW dataset; I'm assuming this indicates we do not have a firewall issue.
What we want to do is schedule a data refresh for our PowerBI reports from SAP BW. Are there any instructions on how to set up a Dataset on PowerBI(dot)com for SAP BW? The process was very straight forward for SQL Server.
