Row Level Security - Giving Full Access To A Single Person And Limiting Everyone Else

Hi All, I have a bit of a conundrum. At the moment I am trying to impliment row level security into one of my reports. I want my boss to see all the data, but I want other people to see limited data (but everyone else seems the same thing).

So for our annual report, my boss can see the turn over rate of the company but on one else can see that. I know it seems very backwards. Is this possible?

    Hi alee5210 ,

Perhaps you can assign Contributor, Member or Admin permissions to your boss in the workspace, and Viewer permissions to everyone else, then set up RLS and assign roles. Because RLS only works for Viewers, not Contributors, Members or Admins. So your boss can see the full content without being affected by RLS.

I suggest you refer to this post, the solutions in it can be a good solution to the problem you are encountering:

You have to decide to either use row-level security (filtering the data, basically putting a filter on a column in your data) or object-level security (has quite some downsides) but there you can dynamically hide a measure e.g. your turnover rate. Your use case sounds more like object-level security than row-level security but I would need to see your data for that.
