Retrieving data from Rich Returns (an app integrated in Shopify)

Hey,

The company where I just started prior to my start consulted with an external party to retrieve shopify data to power bi. The data adequatly shows shopify data however we also use rich returns (an app in Shopify) to manage returns. This data despite being an app in Shopify is not reflected in the data. Do any of you have experiencce with retrieving this data?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance,

Hi @stino123

To connect Shopify to the Power BI system and use it as a data source, the only thing you need to do is install and set up the Power BI connector for the Shopify app. You can add the Power BI connector in your Shopify app store .

After you setting up the Power BI Connector , you can connect to Shopify from Power BI Desktop with OData feed connector .

Hi @stino123 were you able to find a solution? Since there’s no direct connection to Shopify anymore, you will have to look for another way. As a workaround, maybe you can try to test your connection with a 3rd party connector. I've tried windsor.ai, supemetrics and funnel.io. I stayed with windsor because it is much cheaper so just to let you know other options. In case you wonder, to make the connection first search for the Shopify connector in the data sources list:

SHOPIFY-1.jpg

After that, you need to follow instructions and install the windsor.ai app from the Shopify App Store:

then on preview and destination page you will see a preview of your Shopify fields

SHOPIFY-2.jpg

There just select the fields you need. Finally, just select PBI as your data destination and finally just copy and paste the url on PBI --> Get Data --> Web --> Paste the url.
