Rest API Multi Credentials

Hello!

I have two reports which I have published to Power BI web service. The datasource for both is a REST API, which has basic auth. Credentials are different in both.

After updating the credentials in desktop I publish and can see the different datasets in each report. However when then refreshing from the web service they are overwritten and both show the same data of the last credential entered.

How can I resolve this? I need to do this for many different credentials so I cannot ask another user to take over a set of them.

Thank you!

Hi , @Yelyah

Based on my query and reserach, one set of credential for one specific data source definition can only maintain one for one single AAD user in the Power BI service, but if you are using on-premise data gateway/personal gateway to configure the connection to the same data source using different credential, they can also work for different credential within one single AAD user, so please consider using the g on-premise data gateway/personal gateway to configure the connection to the same data source using different credential and check if it can help you solve the issue:

Thank you for your time and sharing, and thank you for your support and understanding of PowerBI!
