Hopefully this will be a pretty simple answer.
I've got a report that was written in Power BI Desktop and then oublished online. I've added a gateway and the refresh is working absolutely fine. I can see up-to-date data within Power BI.
I generated an embed code and embedded on a local website.
The problem is the data showing using the embed code is out-of-date, infact it its only showing the data that was present when I first generated the embed code.
Is this a limitation of BI or is there anther step that I have missed?
Thanks,
Simon

The public links should update with your refreshes, however there is about an hour delay.
ie. I publish report now, it looks like it did when I created it. 4 hours from now I do a refresh through the service, it might be 5 hours till the public link shows the new data.
I find you can see the updates from a refresh immediately when logged into the service, but it takes time to update on the public links. MS says "it takes about an hour to update".
Hi @simbobaker,
As DSimma's said, the visual doesn't show the real time records, it has almost a hour delay.
For detail information, you can refer to below article:
Data refresh
Data refreshes are automatically reflected in your embedded report or visual. It can take approximately 1 hour for refreshed data to be visible from embed codes. You can disable automatic refresh by selecting do not refresh on the schedule for the dataset used by the report.
