Reports - Export To File

what licence required to call the following report export api

 

POST https://api.powerbi.com/v1.0/myorg/reports/{reportId}/ExportTo

 

currently have premium licence, but getting error

Hi. The error specifies that there might be an issue in how you have prepared the request. Can you show us your URL and body of the post request? that might help us help you.

You don't need an specific licence for this (only PPU is not supporting this request). You just need an App Registration in Azure with the following delegated permission:

  • Report.ReadWrite.All or Report.Read.All
  • Dataset.ReadWrite.All or Dataset.Read.All

One more thing. That request is for datasets inside "My Workspace". If you want to export something from a collaborative workspace this is the correct request: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/rest/api/power-bi/reports/export-to-file-in-group

That one will ask for the group id (workspace).
