Hi.
I have a report which uses OneDrive files as a part of its data source. Automatic and manual refresh of this report fails frequently (but not always) with this error:
All of queries regarding OneDrive sources are in this format:
Any ideas why connecting to a Microsoft-hosted data source from a Microsoft-hosted service should fail 60% of times?! I have already enabled "Allow your Microsoft 365 services to process or store Power BI data which may be outside of your Power BI tenant's geographic area." option in admin portal (in case it matters).
Thanks for reaching out to us.
You mean, this file sometimes refreshes successfully and sometimes fails to refresh? Are there any regularities in the scenarios in which they occur?

Hi.
Yes, that's excatly what you said. And unfortunately, there is absolutely no regularities in this failures. The same files (two reports, different aspects of data), the same refresh schedule for both reports, the same OneDrive files for both, but sometimes both refresh successfuly, sometimes one of them fails, sometimes both fail together!!! And there is no pattern for schedule failures. Sometimes 10:00AM fails, sometimes 3:00PM fails and sometimes 10:00PM fails.
Thanks for your reply.
If you refresh it in Power BI Desktop, will it always refresh successfully

Hi @v-xiaotang
No. Refreshing in Power BI Desktop also fails sometimes with an error related to OneDrive connectivity. When this happens, we have to retry at least twice (and in some cases up to 4 times).
