My report refresh fails ( sources are csv's in sharepoint) for all tables even if One table has issues ( genuine issue, which ofcourse needs to be solved, but i would like atleast other tables to load.
Is there anything i can do ? i use Pro license, apprecite any help on this, thanks
Hi @Anonymous ,
I don't know the error message of your table. But if you don't want to refresh this table that caused the error, you can try to turn off the option "Include in report refersh" in Power Query Editor.
If the problem is still not resolved, please provide detailed error information or the expected result you expect. Let me know immediately, looking forward to your reply.

Winniz

Hi. I'm sorry to say "that's how Power BI Datasets works". If there is one single fail in any operation or source, the whole refresh will fail.
There are two ways you can manage this.
1- Moving your transformations to different dataflows. If you have a data flow for each table you can control them individually. Then if one of the refreshes from dataflow to sharepoint fails, you won't have a change in your datasets refresh from Power Bi Service to Dataflows.
2- This second options is a lot more complex to make. Building a structure that will capture possible errors inside the transform data operations to remove any possible failure and showing theme in a page. You can get more details here: https://radacad.com/exception-reporting-in-power-query-and-power-bi-part-2-catching-error-rows-for-a...
I hope those make sense. I would suggest keeping the error like it is right now and try to understand why it's failing. Those sharepoint source are usually manually input errors that need to happen in order to educate the users that loads data.
I hope that helps,
Happy to help!
