I reordered the columns through Edit Query in power BI Desktop and published. But if export the underlying data, columns are appearing in earlier sequence. please help me in fixing this issue.
Hi @ManojG
you Can make use of matrix or table visual drop in the columns in which ever order you want and try to export the data...This will meet your requirement.

Hi,
I am using Pie and Column charts to repesent data in dashboard. When I export underlying data from Power BI Service, the coulmuns are all over the place. I want these columns to appear in certain order but it is not happening. I changed the sequence from Edit Query(Reorder columns) but in exported spreadsheet, sequnence doesn't change.
Hi @ManojG ,
Based on my test, It is same in desktop. When I export data from pie chart, it shows as the order of the underlying data sources ignoring your sorting in the Query Editor. But when I export data from column chart or table visual, it works as I expected.
Please post this as an Issue using issues.powerbi.com. first check to see if it has already been reported. And as a workaround ,if you want to export data as you expected, please first change it to column chart.
