Hello,
As our team rolls out dashboards to the business, we'd like to have a proper release management process in place for DEV, QA/UAT, and PROD. How is this best set-up and is there any useful documentation out there for achieving this optimally (taking into account security as well)?
Currently, we are using one workspace/app that acts for these functions, but we are holding back on releasing anything to "production" until this release management is sorted out.
Thanks in advance for your advice!
I came across this question and I wanted to know if there has been any update on the Release Management piece ? 4 years to this post, we are still facing something similar
Hi @Anonymous ,
Glad to inform you that this month a new preview feature released, We think it may be helpful to the Release Management Process, Please refer to this document about it: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/create-reports/deployment-pipelines-get-started
Best regards,
Hi @Anonymous ,
Based on my research, currently there is no official release management process in Power BI Service, Template App has release management but it is not suitable. We think we can manage the publishing of pbix file among multi workspaces as a workaround, please also refer to following links associate about the deployment:
