Hi,
I have 2 questions about automatic refreshing. Can you help me?
1- I have a report. This report contains a few csv files from my own computer. I also linked a google sheet file. There was a refresh at 14:30. When I looked at 14:42, it was still not refreshed. Then, when I looked again, it was renewed at 14:46. My question is, do I have to log in to Power BI for the refresh to happen? Isn't it just enough that my computer is switched on?
2- The size of my report is 170 mb. There are 10 csv files in total. The total size of these is 211 MB. Is the delay in refreshing related to these?
Thanks in advance

Hi, @sezerunar
Your report contains local CSV files and linked Google Sheet files, and if the data source for these files has not changed, then Power BI usually does not need to refetch the data. However, if you set up a refresh schedule, Power BI will automatically connect to the data source and try to fetch the new data at a set time.
The 14:30 refresh you mentioned but it didn't complete until 14:46 could be due to a number of reasons. First, if the Google Sheet has a large amount of data or an unstable network connection, it may take some time for the data to download and refresh. Second, if the Power BI service itself is experiencing performance issues or high load, this may also cause a delay in refreshing. You don't need to log into Power BI in order to trigger a refresh, but it's important to make sure that your computer is on and that your network connection is stable.
The size of the report and the size of the CSV file it contains may affect the performance of the refresh, but are usually not the direct cause of a delayed refresh. Larger reports and files may require more memory and computing resources to process, which can lead to performance issues when refreshing.
However, if your reports contain large amounts of data or complex calculations, it may take longer to complete the refresh. Additionally, if your data source (e.g., Google Sheet) itself has performance issues or network latency, this may also result in slower data retrieval from the data source.
