Hello,
I have a dataset deployed using deployment pipeline avec wither parameter for the server and databse name. When refreshed manually or through the api, it seems to work well.
The Power Query is straight forward, for each table, it reads a view to load a table.
However, at least one table seams to have its data not updated or "jammed" with old values. If I compare it with the database, some label columm have different value for the same code. I tried to update the dataset with the deployement pipeline, refresh it manually or using the api, but these values do not change for the code. Also I tried to republish the dataset in dev with the same values for the the server and databse name and deploy using the developement pipeline, just in case the parameters do not work well but same result.
I did not want to remove the dataset and publish it again because Power BI reports and Excel reports use it.
As it is on a premium capacity, I was able to connect to the dataset using the Power bi Connection string and process the table using SSMS. It worked and now I have the correct value.
But why did it happen ? And how to prevent this to happen in the future ?
Thanks for your help,
Hi @Anonymous
It appears to be working when refreshing via SSMS, which is then how it will refresh when the entire dataset is being refreshed.
I would say it is possibly a small bug that will be resolved.
