Refresh failed

I keep received emails every 2 hours and said: Refresh failed: XXX has failed to refresh.  I didn't set up scheduled refresh function and I cannot turn it off.  I just published my report and dashboard to my workspaces with certain dataset.  can some expert help me for this issue?  Thanks.

Hi,

When you published the report to  power bi service you have to configure the Datasouce for refreshing.

If your using Azure direct connection no need to install and configure the gateway.

If your not using Azure sql Server as a datasource you have to download the gateway setup from microsoft official site and install the setup and configure the datasource.

Regards,

Bajee.

Hi Bajee,

Thank you for your help!  I will download the gateway setup from microsoft official site and install the setup and configure the datasource.  I think it will solve the issue.

I have couple reports and dashboards, there is only one have the issue, not sure why others do not have issue.  Maybe server issue?

Regards,
