Hi All,
We have started using composite models so we can connect to our main data model and still use sorting/aggregate tables without bloating our main model. As part of this though we have found that refreshes on these composite models unless done by downloading and refreshing the .pbix do not update to the latest measures and table definitions from the model it is connected to in directquery.
I have had a look at doing this programatically using the sempy libraries to find downstream datasets and refresh them but it doesn't appear to resync to the main models definitions.
Any help/guidance would be much appreciated.

Hii @tpasley
Downstream composite models cannot automatically pick up new measures or table definition changes from the upstream dataset.
There is also no workaround or API to force this.
The only supported method is to open the PBIX, refresh it in Desktop, and republish.
