I have an on premise MySQL database, so I installed on premise data gateway:
Problem is refreshing settings on server are not suitable for me...
I can't tell service to refresh only on working days ( monday-friday) and also I would like to now
If there is an API or shell to perform a manual refresh outside the service.
Something like
refresh dataset_id in a bat script or powershell ( I need to refresh dataset after an internal ETL process finishes)
Regards
And is it possible to trigger a refresh... after a file is loaded in database
some API to do
refresh URLof dataset
I'm curious about why you don't want refreshes to occur on weekends? We don't have much data change over our weekends so there isn't much value in allowing the refresh to occur, but we just let it go because its all hands off.
If you really really don't want refreshes to occur over the weekend, could you schedule something on the gateway itself to turn off access between certain days and times? It can't refresh if the gateway is "down"
We do not update source database on weekends
